An artist friend from DA emailed me last month with a rather odd message. "I have obtained a chinese-made pressure suit from the 1950's and was thinking you might enjoy using it as a photography prop. Would you like to borrow it?" That's like asking a Congressman if he'd like a second helping of pulled pork, or a horse if he'd prefer to just stand there and graze. "Duh?" I replied, "Of course!" A few days later the flight suit showed up in the mail and I spent some time on Ebay looking for a suitable helmet. The helmet is a Russian MiG pilot's helmet from approximately the same period. (No dice finding matching boots; I tried) And, of course, that brought up the next question: How do you make a pressure suit beautiful?
That's easy! Just add Zinn.
Where did the title "A Dream of Flying" come from? Wait until you see her face in the later frames. All will become clear to those who are patient.
This is my favorite series-set of Zinn. She was in a splendid mood the day we shot this and every single thing she did was beautiful, sexy, serene - and often all of the above. I'll post the whole series and hopefully the DA content trolls won't move it around from one category to the next. DA: we need a "series" category!
Want to know how it was lit? Look at the reflection in her goggles.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

You pay good money to be thrown around and when you least expect the ride is over and you are throwing up outside.
