...Manchester!

Sometimes the "fat patrol" on DA chimes in with nasty comments about models' weight. If you're thinking of doing that, please don't bother. Consider instead that the apparent exposure of her ribs is a result of raking light coming from above, as well as her pose. She's quite a healthy young lady and anyone saying "she looks anorexic" obviously doesn't know what anorexia looks like.

That said, one of the reasons I enjoy shooting figure work is the wonderful interplay between muscle, skin, fat, and endoskeleton. To me, it's just cool as hell. For example, here you can clearly see how the muscles that help hold her spine erect insert into the small of her back (posterior sacro-iliatic crest) and the way the muscles over her pelvis bunch up and out because of her pose. I can't help but see humans as squishy stuff in a bag of skin, hanging on a rack of bones. But it sure looks interesting!! I'm endlessly fascinated by how my brain turns the reflection of the squishy stuff into, "mmm... that's hawt!" Instinct is so amazing, isn't it? And, because of how I'm wired, if that were a guy I'd be totally uninterested. What strange little meat robots we are!

Very nice game of light making her body look partly human and partly graphic. Very nice model, pose and shot, congratulations to both of you.
