You're welcome! Some nudes just seem attractive because they're nude, but it takes talent to make your artistic vision an equal partner in the allure of the piece. Well done!

Amazing lighting on her anatomy....this picture would be AMAZING to draw in charcoals because of all of the depths and shadows. The human body is crazy amazing, and I love shots that just highlight the different range and motions it can take on.

I love these types of shots that you have been doing--they are very different from what you usually do (which isn't bad in any way) but just show your diversity. I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future!

Uh-oh, double post--am I going to get kicked off dA? I agree somewhat with Gildir. It's true that I consider your studio technique flawless, yet I also feel that much of your work in the last year has been repetitive to a degree. That's one reason why I really like this image (aside from the fact that it's just a great image!), and some of your other more recent work (e.g., the shots with the nude males). Your skill has grown since I first started watching your work--I would certainly choose some of your more recent work over pieces that I ordered two years ago--but I hope you'll continue to try to challenge yourself to express new ideas in new or different environments. I think you've got a long ways to go before you've exhausted your creative potential! Anyway, it's about time to order more photos... :bounce:

People is forgetting old school by taking odd shots and spending the rest of the day in the ps trying to save something they didn't put effort in.

Fortunately, there is always photographers like you :)

Best regards!

Somehow I still think that the photos that deviate from you usual "gray background" setup are much better than the rest. Your attempts are getting out of ruts seems to be quite successful. I would like to encourage you to try more of that.

And it quite amuses me that you use the "fine art" buzzword :D

I'm not done with the grey background. :) It's just that my studio is really cold and I have been on the road a fair bit. :D

Gildir Featured By Owner Mar 6, 2009
My studio is ice cold as well. I can't wait until the weather gets back to acceptable range. However that harsh weather motivates me to try something different. I'm quite thankful for any push out of the ruts. Any motivation/inspiration sources are worth exploring.

I will speak honestly now. Your gray background got somehow boring. At least for me. Not that your technique suffers, quite the opposite. But I would like to see something more surprising. The perfect classic forms, neko girls and decomposed <whatever> was fine, but we have seen enough of that. I know that you don't give a sh*t about preferences of others but the more you get out of ruts the more *I* will appreciate it.
