This has quite a bit of post-work but I tried to keep it subtle. There's a pretty heavy black flare layer and a gradient fill curves adjustment to push the edges down.

Liking this shot a lot - may be of the foot persuasion!

That said what distracts me in it from a compositional point of view which is otherwise very strong is the knee on the bottom left of the frame. I think the image would be fine/better without it.

Hm, you're probably right. I wanted to give the eye something to hang on but I wasn't sure what was the best thing to do.

I think there is enough to hang on to without it! The rope would still head out of the image on the LHS and I think that would work fine. But your image, so your choice.
