Construction of light-bar: flourescent tube ($8) with clear acrylic protector ($8) over it, wired to ballast/transformer with 16-ga speaker wire. Wire to one end of tube is fed through the protective cover; ends of tube protected with layers of electrical tape.

You know I began to wonder if you'd heard the stories around Flavin's shows at the old Castelli Gallery and how Leo Castelli would get into a sort of contest with Flavin because his sculptures would make the gallery walls look like crap. And so prior to a Flavin show Castelli would have the walls completely resurfaced only to have them still look like crap when the sculptures were installed. So then I got to thinking about some quip I might make that you don't seem to have that problem, and then I got to thinking about the possibilities for model "resurfacing" in response to this lighting...
