Deconstructed Ninja - Series

Description

Big thanks to MaxRogue ( [link] ) who stitched the ninjas together from separate frames for me. I am not a photoshop wizard when it comes to manipulations.

Model is Rayn.

These series are usually shot with the camera locked on a tripod with a remote trigger. The model is given a space to work within and a knife or a pair of scissors, and told to go to town on her outfit. The hard part (for me) is getting the lighting even enough to make photoshopping possible yet intense enough to keep the scene interesting. Sometimes the models really get into it and start ripping their outfits apart quite quickly, which makes it difficult since it takes 2-3 seconds for my strobes to recycle to full power and if I keep cranking on the camera I get images that are underexposed, which greatly increases the amount of photoshop work required.

Please do not use my finished artworks for photo-composites. It is OK to use them as references for painting, sketches, or sculpture. I have posted this in high resolution, please do not abuse the trust I place in you by so doing.

I have to say MaxRogue's linking of themall together like this was incredible it looks almost like you have a whole family of kunoichi who are i denticle to each other each in a different pose for the shoot. Each frame reveals a bit more about the model and about the way that she embodies the Kunoichi life. I'm afan of these photographs and of the very lovely Rayn.
